If you are a fan of 3D movies, then get ready to put on your 3D glasses for a unique music festival in the city. Known as Delhi Goes 3D, the audio-visual event, which will see a number of music gigs, is a part of the India Goes 3D music festival.

An Indo-German music exchange programme being organised as part of the Germany and India 2011 - 2012: Infinite Opportunities series, the multi-city tour is bringing popular German musicians to the country for the first time. The artists include Berlin-based DJ Daniel Haaksman, rave and old school techno musician duo — Coma from Cologne, DJ Ada from Hamburg, along with Indian artists including the audio visual collective BLOT!, Jitter and Nucleya.
“It’s an absolutely fantastic concept. We are very excited about the gig where we would present the Indian and German style of techno music. The gig will be different, as we would be showcasing a 3D video as well. So, all that you need to do is to pick up your 3D glasses and get grooving with us,” says Gaurav Malaker, co-founder of BLOT.
At this event, the Indian audience will get to experience a baile funk performance with music producer Haaksman for the first time. “This genre originated in Rio De Janeiro and was common with people who could not afford to go to the nightclubs. To put it simply, it’s party music. It’s no more limited to Rio, and due to the influence of the internet, this music form is going international,” says Haaksman who plays a club-friendly mix of baile funk, kuduro, raved-up samba, and UK funky.

Understanding the difference in cultures and music styles of India and Germany is what Coma is looking forward to. “We will be playing our track, Out of Control. The music score of the track suits the Indian taste of music. We are looking forward to having a gala time performing here,” says George Conrad of Coma.
The two day event will conclude in Delhi and will be held across two venues. The other two cities are Bangalore and Mumbai.
