Maharashtra Vikas Sangathan, an NGO from Pune has objected to the use of 20 seconds of the National Anthem in the song, which has been split into five seconds in the beginning and 15, towards the end.

The remix has been conceptualised by starlet Rituu Sachdeva and produced by Twilight Films. Apart from using Jai Hind… from Jana gana mana, the mix also borrows from AR Rahman’s Vande mataram, followed by a frame of the National Flag, which too has been dragged into the squabble.

Sachdeva claims that the song has not been made for any commercial gain and is meant to inspire Indian cricketers and the sport itself. “I will not remove anything from this video or song,” says Sachdeva, adding “I have done this for my country and my cricketers. They are only creating an issue to gain publicity. They are objecting to the content only because I have coloured my hair blond, and I am wearing a short skirt, but that is how young people dress these days. What is wrong with that?”
