When their debut album Kailasa released two years ago, few would have predicted that the trio, Kailash Kher, Naresh and Paresh Kamath would soon beat out another album. The two guitarists with the singer-composer have forayed into Bollywood with Pranali.

We were in no desperate hurry to get into films, but now that we are in, we will not compromise on quality, Kher promises. Our music has an identity of its own.

Work ahead
The trio obviously takes its unified identity seriously. I never call myself the front man, asserts Kher.

We share the credit as Kailash Naresh Paresh. Up next is Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk to China , in which Kailasa shares composing credits with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. And there's Faruque Kabir's Allah ke Bande.

Is the band now concentrating primarily on Bollywood?

If the scripts don't impress us or if we don't get quality work, we'll look elsewhere, shrugs Kher. We don't need Bollywood to survive. We have offers galore for concerts. There is hardly any time to breathe.
