The one-stop portal offers information on the Indian independent music scene, besides an updated calendar and professional assistance to bands on everything from organising a concert to providing graphic designers and sound engineers. It also has an online store for unsigned musicians to sell their music and a CD Bazaar tab that has listings for small labels and independent artistes.

The website also gives up-to-date news alerts on the Indian music scene every few minutes. “The idea is to educate musicians on how and where to get the best DIY support, given that this is still a small industry with only a handful of people who handle music production,” says Bandukwala, adding, “All you need to do is create a user account on the website or access it via Facebook and you can start your own retail outlet. We also allow users to create a profile and share their gig dates and pictures, much like a social networking site.”
