MUZAFFARNAGAR: A 38-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly raped and murdered at a paper mill owned by a BSP MLA in Muzaffarnagar, police said on Saturday. Police suspected the victim had been raped before being strangulated on Friday at the mill where she worked as a labourer. The body has been sent for postmortem. Police were searching for a labour contractor, Khurshid, who has been absconding after the incident.
