PG, BBA students apply for sweepers’ posts

KANPUR: As many as five lakh people, including graduates and post-graduates, have applied for 3,275 posts of ‘safai karmachari’ (sweepers) in Kanpur Municipal Corporation

KANPUR: As many as five lakh people, including graduates and post-graduates, have applied for 3,275 posts of ‘safai karmachari’ (sweepers) in Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC), an official said on Monday. The last date for filing applications for the post is Tuesday. No educational qualifications are required for the posts. While sorting the applications, KMC officials found that boys with graduate, post graduate and even BBA degrees preferred to work as safai karmachari at KMC.
