Sports on agenda during Question Hour in RS

NEW DELHI: During the Rajya Sabha’s Question Hour on Tuesday, former Indian hockey captain and BJD’s floor manager Dilip Tirkey asked the first question on sports.

NEW DELHI: During the Rajya Sabha’s Question Hour on Tuesday, former Indian hockey captain and BJD’s floor manager Dilip Tirkey asked the first question on sports. Some Opposition MPs rushed to Olympic medallist Mary Kom to urge her to ask supplementary questions. Kom obliged and posed queries on lack of funds for sports. Later, Trinamool’s Derek O’Brien tweeted, “Sports day in #Parliament Dilip Tirkey asks a Q in QHour in RS. Mary Kom speaks for the first time. We missed you @sachin_rt Cool. Next time,” taking a dig at Sachin Tendulkar’s absence from the House.
