FATEGARH SAHIB: Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh promised on Saturday to end the contractual system of teachers appointment if voted to power. Interacting with teachers at a ‘Coffee With Captain’ event, he said, “You all should have been absorbed but the government changed and the Akalis didn’t look into it. I am against contractual recruitment of teachers, we will ensure to get rid of this system.” Over 2, 200 teachers of primary, secondary schools and colleges participated in the event.
