MUMBAI: Thousands of commuters in Mumbai had a harrowing time on Tuesday morning as an empty coach of a long-distance train derailed near Lower Parel station, throwing suburban life out of gear. Heavy traffic snarls were reported across the city, especially on the Western Express Highway (WEH), and in parts of South Mumbai. Many office-goers took to roads, which led to traffic jams on the south-bound stretch of the WEH from Borivli to Bandra.
