NEW DELHI: Railways minister Suresh Prabhu has sought a $500 million World Bank loan to fast-forward plans to modernise and redevelop railway stations by providing for various amenities. He set June 1 as deadline for the uploading of “model tender documents” on the ministry’s official website for the benefit of global/ private firms interested in participating in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) project.
