42-year-old man found murdered in Ghaziabad’s Sahibabad

Police have lodged an FIR against unidentified persons after the body of a 42-year-old man was found from near City Forest area in Karhera, Sahibabad. The body had several injury marks and police suspected that he was murdered under a conspiracy.
The body, found on Wednesday morning was identified to be of Satendra Kumar alias Kalu, a resident of Karhera. Police recovered glasses, an empty liquor bottle, a half consumed liquor bottle, and three knives which seemed new and suspected to be used for inflicting multiple injuries on the victim.
The victim’s family said Satendra had left his house at Karhera on Tuesday evening and did not return after that. He is survived by three daughters and a son.
“Someone called the victim around 5.30pm on Tuesday and the caller told him to supply a tanker of water from his fields. Around 6pm, his younger brother Sonu received a call from the victim that he is at the tube well and will return within half an hour. When he did not reach, the family started searching as he did not pick up the phone after repeated calls,” said Narendra Chauhan, a family friend of the victim.
Thereafter, the family informed police. Some locals informed police after they traced the body nearly 2km away from victim’s house at Karhera. The police suspects that the victim was murdered late night.
“When we reached the spot, we identified his body. His body had several stab marks, two on the neck and others in the abdomen and thighs. His head also had injuries and seems to be inflicted by bricks. He had given his bike for servicing and instead took the bike of the mechanic for the day. The bike was also recovered from the scene of crime. We have registered an FIR against unidentified persons. We have some clues and will help police in investigation,” Chauhan said.

“Our teams are probing the murder. The knives and other evidences found at the scene of crime were seized for further forensic analysis. It is suspected that the victim was purposely called to the isolated location for committing the crime. It seems to be a murder conspiracy,” said Rakesh Kumar Singh, station house officer, Sahibabad.
