CM Yogi may hand over keys of ready flats in Noida, Greater Noida to buyers next month

According to the Noida and Greater Noida authority officials, the two authorities have already delivered 40,000 flats to homebuyers.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to hand over the keys of ready flats to homebuyers next month. The Noida and Greater Noida authority chief executive officers have directed the staff to expedite the process of issuance of occupancy certificates to ready housing projects so that buyers can get relief.

In the run up to the CM’s visit here next month (the dates are yet to be fixed), the two authorities have started having detailed meetings with builders who are unable to finish their housing projects and get occupancy certificate, which is mandatory before the building is ready for possession.

According to the Noida and Greater Noida authority officials, the two authorities have already delivered 40,000 flats to homebuyers.

While visiting Noida on December 25, 2017, the chief minister had announced that the two authorities will deliver another set of 40,000 flats by April 2018.

Yogi had said that his government will deliver 80,000 flats by April 2018. He had said that this is being done to resolve the issues faced by homebuyers.

The two authorities have together started preparations for the CM’s event, which is expected to take place in Greater Noida.

“Since Greater Noida has more ready flats for delivery, the event is likely to take place in Greater Noida. But the schedule with regard to the CM’s meeting is yet to be finalised. CM himself may hand over the keys of ready flats to respective buyers. But the details such as the number of flats, venue and date is yet to be finalised,” said Alok Tandon, chief executive officer of the Noida authority.

The Greater Noida authority chief executive officer Debasish Panda has also started inspecting the ready housing projects so that occupancy certificate can be issued to housing projects at the earliest.

“We will soon ready details of flats to be handed over to buyers this year,” a Greater Noida authority official said.
