Greater Noida resident comes third in UPSEE

The UPSEE is a national-level exam that was taken by over 1,56,211 students

It has been raining good news on the Chaudhary family for the past two days as 18-year-old Divyansh Chaudhary secured the third rank in the national-level Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) on Monday. This, after scoring 95% in the CBSE class 12 exam, results of which were declared on Sunday.

On Monday afternoon, Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, declared the UPSEE results in which Divyansh secured the third rank in the BTech category. Prakhar Bhindal of Meerut came in first and Rohan Gupta of Lucknow came in second.

More than 1,69,000 students across India applied for the exam and 1,56,211 appeared for it. The university will make the answer sheets of top 100 students available online.

An elated Divyansh said he wishes to pursue computer science and become a software developer.

“I have also appeared for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and am waiting for its result to be declared in June. I hope I get a good college to pursue my dreams after my performance in class 12 and UPSEE,” he said.

Divyansh’s father, Sandeep Chaudhary, works as an accountant in a government agency. “A father cannot be happier than when his son performs in such an incredible manner. I wish him all the best for his future,” he said.

Over 1,38,000 students qualified in the entrance examination conducted by AKTU for various courses in Uttar Pradesh, a state minister said on Monday.

Around 4,711 students qualified for the BArch course, 196 for BPharma (diploma), 9,773 for BPharma, 153 for BTech (BSc), 6,639 for BTech (diploma), 94,965 for BTech/AG, 208 for BFA, 255 for BFAD, 424 for BHMCT, 7,397 for Biotech, 8,543 for MBA, 2,971 for MCA and 2,010 for MCA (lateral).
