“The father of the accused had moved the district sessions court against the Juvenile Justice Board order of January 6, 2017, against the board’s rejection of the bail application of the murder accused, who is a juvenile. The additional district judge upheld the board order and dismissed the application,” DSR Tripathi, senior prosecution officer, said.

The juvenile had told the police that he was an apprentice mechanic with one Pramod Kumar Sharma, who was in a relationship with one Komal. Komal’s parents — father Ved Prakash and mother Aklesh — had beaten her on learning about the relationship.

It is alleged that the accused in the case, including the juvenile, had hatched a plan to kill Ved Prakash and Aklesh. Komal allegedly drugged her parents and took them to an under-construction building at Chhaprola in a car. There, they had strangulated Komal’s parents to death, dumped the bodies in Jarcha canal and had gone to Mehandipur Balaji in Rajasthan.

As per the prosecution team, Om Prakash, brother of Ved Prakash, who was murdered on August 1, lodged an FIR on August 6, 2016, at Badalpur Police Station. The juvenile was arrested by the police on August 7.

“The district probation officer had submitted a report stating that the juvenile accused was training with Pramod Kumar Sharma’s to be an electrician and he used to visit Sharma’s house. His family members paid little attention to him as they were busy. He strayed and committed the rime as there was a lack of proper guidance. The board had considered all aspects and had rejected the bail application,” Tripathi said.
