Minor boy booked under Posco in Noida for molesting classmate

The police detained a student of a private school for allegedly molesting his classmate

The Noida police on Saturday detained a Class 11 student of a private school for allegedly molesting his classmate. Both the boy and the victim are minors, police said.

“Based on the girl’s complaint, we have registered cases under Section 354 of the IPC and levied section 3/4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The boy was also taken into custody,” said Avdesh Awasthi, in-charge, Ecotech 3 police station.

Awasthi said, as per the complainant, the boy took her for bike ride, parked his vehicle alongside a secluded road and tried to force himself on her.
