The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is planning to launch a mobile application on its city bus service by March-end for the benefit of residents.

The app will provide bus timings, e-wallet payment facility, bus routes, bus stops as well as route tracking service. It will also have a provision for commuters to leave their feedback and lodge complaints about the city bus service.
The application is being designed by a Lucknow-based company — Trimax — on the directions of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Company (UPSRTC), which is the programme in-charge for the app.
The mobile application was scheduled to be launched in January but the model code of conduct for the ongoing assembly elections came into force. Officials said that the application will be available to android as well as iOS users.
Before the formal launch, the application will be tested and its functionalities thoroughly checked by the technical team.
NMRC officer on special duty (OSD), Sandeep Raizada, said, “We will be launching the application by the end of March. It is already being developed by Trimax and they are adding the features which we took up with UPSRTC.”
Officials said that the e-wallet facility will also help commuters check the fares of the route they wish to travel on, besides facilitating easy payment. The NMRC receives around 10%-15% collection through the e-wallet (PayTM).

A commuter will not have to wander to search for a bus stop and they can check the routes from any location. Moreover, the e-wallet can also ensure a hassle-free journey. I hope the mobile app is launched soon and not delayed,” Neeraj Kumar, a commuter, said.
