It started raining at noon and continued till evening, providing a much-needed breather to areas of Delhi-NCR.

On Monday, the maximum temperature in Noida was recorded at 30 degree Celsius, and the minimum temperature at 28 degree Celsius, according to weather officials. Overcast conditions resulted in pleasant weather for children after school hours.

“Due to the pleasant weather, my children were able to enjoy the evening at the playground. I am aware that this is the season for various ailments and diseases, but there is nothing to worry about if one is careful,” said Alka Singh of Sector 29.

However, there was also congestion in various city areas due to the showers.

“Vehicles coming from Greater Noida had to face congestion on the Delhi-Noida-Direct (DND) Flyway due to the rain. However, we managed to reduce the jam in less than an hour,” said Layak Singh, traffic inspector, Noida.

However, Singh said, “There was congestion for 15-20 minutes at certain places, but we were able to streamline vehicular movement and get rid of the jams quickly. Overall, no long traffic jams were reported.”
