Police force withdrawn from Bisada

The police said normalcy has been restored in the village and there is no need for heavy deployment of personnel.

In a meeting, prominent residents of the village had requested the withdrawal of police.

Following the request, the deputy superintendent of police prepared a report on the status of security in the village, which stated that there is no communal tension in the village and the situation is normal.

“After a survey of the situation in the village, civil police has been withdrawn from Bisada. But one company of the provincial armed constabulary (PAC) that comprises 50 constables will continue to camp in the village for some time,” said Sanjay Singh, superintendent of police (Rural).

However, he said the police barricade at the entry point of the village will remain till orders are given for its removal.

“It (the barricade) has been installed to stop the entry of political parties. Personnel from the local intelligence unit (LIU) will remain active in the village and submit a report every day,” Singh said.

“Many youth from the villages in Dadri have approached me with start-up ideas. Some of them want to start a transport business, while others want to be electricians or start their dairy business. We have roped in many departments and NGOs to help the youth get loans at low interest rates through government schemes. We will give them a training for three months before we help them get loans,” district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar NP Singh said.

He said the energy of the youth had to be channelized “in the right direction”. “Negative powers could damage their mind as well as future generations,” the district magistrate said.
