Two armed men wearing helmets carried out a heist at UCO bank in Site-4 of Kasna in Greater Noida on Wednesday evening and made away with Rs13.5 lakh.

The two entered the bank wearing helmets and asked those present to remain silent and stay at their positions. One of them went to the cash counter and picked up Rs13.5 lakh, the police said.
Police said the incident took place around 3:47pm, when there were only five people, including a customer, on the bank premises. As the bank is spread over a small area, the robbers didn’t give the bank officials a chance to raise the alarm, the police said.
The police said that the duo fled the bank within five minutes of their entry end did not let anyone follow them. The police are now looking into the footage of the CCTV camera in the vicinity.
“As per eyewitnesses, one of the robbers carried an air gun and the other was armed with a pistol. No one was able to identify either of them. We have asked the bank to provide us with the CCTV camera footage to ascertain the sequence of events. The investigation is going in this case,” Sudhir Kumar Tyagi, station house officer of Kasna police station, said.
