Atwal makes cut, but drops to tied 22nd

Arjun Atwal landed two eagles, one each on both the front and back nines, but could still only manage a modest one-under 69 to drop to the 22nd spot after the second round of the Wyndham Championships golf tournament in Greensboro.

Arjun Atwal landed two eagles, one each on both the front and back nines, but could still only manage a modest one-under 69 to drop to the 22nd spot after the second round of the Wyndham Championships golf tournament in Greensboro.

With a two day total of five-under 135, Atwal dropped from tied eighth to tied 22nd position. Jimmy Walker played very steady but effective golf to shoot an eight-under 62 on Friday and moved to the top of the leaderboard at 12-under.

Defending champion Webb Simpson was a stroke behind after a 63, while first-round leader Carl Pettersson (68), Tim Clark (67), Sergio Garcia (63) and rookie Harris English (64) were 10-under.
