It’s been three painful months for Saurav Ghosal who will be making his return at the Australian Open in Canberra on August 8.

India’s premier squash player, Ghosal, incurred a freak injury during the Irish Open semifinal in April and the examinations showed two muscle tears under his left-foot.
"One tear was in the plantar fascia (a connective tissue that supports the arch of the foot) and the other one in a tendon connecting one of the small toes. It was almost six weeks before I hit the court again," the world No 26 told HT on Tuesday.
When asked why he was being unable to break into the top 20, Ghosal said, "Honestly, I was winning the match when the injury occurred at the Irish Open. Things would be different had I gone all the way there."
Ghosal will be playing Stewart Boswell in the first round which features top ranked players from around the world, including world No 1 Nick Matthew and Egyptian Ramy Ashour. Ghosal will face the latter if he defeats the 33-year-old Aussie in the opening clash.
