The India A men’s team inched closer to the Asian team chess title on Saturday with a 3.5-0.5 win over Iran.
India A now have 10 points. Iran and Vietnam have seven each. Captain K Sasikiran was held by Elshan Moradiabadi but the rest — Pentala Harikrishna, Surya Sekhar Ganguly and Parimarjan Negi won their games. In the women’s, leaders Vietnam continued to lead with a 3.5-0.5 win over Singapore. India A, India B are behind them on 7 points.
