Asian Tour stars Jeev Milkha Singh of India and Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee will play through the pain barrier in an attempt to win the $1.9 million Panasonic Open in Japan which starts on Thursday.

Singh is recovering from an injured finger that saw him out of action for four weeks while Thongchai is coming back from a twisted right ankle sustained at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in August.

New Delhi: Kenya's superstar middle distance runner David Rudisha has been named brand ambassador of this year’s Airtel Delhi half-marathon that will be held on September 30. The Olympic 800m champion set a new world record of 1:40.91 while winning gold in the London Olympics. The runner is expected to arrive on September 27, in the Capital.

The elite field for the half-marathon would be led by Ethopia's Atsedu Tsegay, the fastest runner over the 21km distance this year, who has confirmed his participation.
