Junior grapplers win medals in plenty

The Indian wrestling contingent dished out an impressive performance, winning 11 medals in the men’s and women’s categories at the Jr Asian Championships in Doha, reports HT Correspondent.

The Indian wrestling contingent dished out an impressive performance, winning 11 medals in the men’s and women’s categories at the Jr Asian Championships in Doha on Tuesday.

In the freestyle team event, both the male and female grapplers secured third position.

Geeta was the only Indian player to win a gold in the championships (59kg category).

The team also won three silver and seven bronze medals in the event. Women outshone their male counterparts, securing six medals.
