Indian mixed doubles pair of V Diju and Jwala Gutta reached the final of the Chinese Taipei Grand Prix Gold on Saturday beating Peng Soon Chan and Liu Ying Goh of Malaysia 21-11, 17-21, 24-22 in the semifinals. The third seeds will now face Indonesia’s Vita Marissa and Hendra Gunawan, who defeated compatriots Tontowi Ahmad and Richi Puspita 21-10, 21-16 in the other semifinal.

“We were a match point down at 21-10 but we were confident of pulling it off,” said Diju from Taipei County.
This will be the second final appearance of the pair in a Grand Prix gold final.
