The second and the last leg of the South Asian Winter Games kicked off amidst a gala opening here on Friday.
However, the official inauguration of the event is being delayed as Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia and chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank could not reach the hill station on time due to bad weather.
The opening session witnessed some skiing events in which players from a number of countries participated.
