Navjit Singh Sandhu was the lone warrior after the final of the Harry Winston Indian Masters Polo tournament. A Lieutenant Colonel with the 61st Cavalry, Sandhu did everything right but could not stop Jindal-Elevation from lifting the prestigious title at the Jaipur Grounds.

Sandhu covered the defence with élan and played a key role in attack. Jindal-Elevation, relying on the tenacity of Simran Shergill, won, 10 goals to eight-and-a-half.
If action is the name of the game, it came in ample measure as Jindal-Elevation played an inspiring game to take a five-goals to two-and-a-half goal lead at the end of the first chukker.
Shergill opened the account with a solo run and completed it with an awe-inspiring back-hander that left even the diehard polo buffs gasping. Argentina’s six-goaler Gerardo Mazzini converted a 40-yard penalty to negate the 1-1/2 goal advantage Cavalry enjoyed because of the start of the match.
