Well, women (obviously) badminton players may now have to take the court in skirts with a new ruling outlawing shorts as part of the dress code.

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) believes that the move would help raise sponsorship deals and public interest, keeping in line with the success achieved in the tennis world.

Jwala Gutta endorses skirts while Saina Nehwal prefers shorts in the Indian contingent but we think the racket surrounding on-court clothes is a little inane. Why? Well, as long as the legs are on display ...
