SAI is likely to approve the appointment at a meeting with TTFI officials Monday.

Johansson is associated with a top club named Ochsenhausen in Germany, where India's top paddler Sharath Kamal plays for Grafelfing Munich.

"We are happy that we are getting a highly qualified man for the seniors so TTFI will bear the rest of the cost," said TTFI general-secretary Dhanraj Choudhary, adding, SAI is ready to sanction $5,000 (R2.25 lakh) as monthly remuneration for the coach.
