Teen sets new swim record

AV Jayaveena, 13-year-old swimmer from Tamil Nadu, created a new reord in the 50 meters breaststroke at the 65th Senior National Aquatic Championships in Ranchi on Thursday. She outpaced her teammate M Raghvi, clocking 34.48 seconds to break the 7-year-old record. “It is great moment for me. My coach Girish helped me finetune my timing and speed,” she said.
