Lucky Vatnani registered his third win to enter the quarterfinals in the Khar Gymkhana-Shyam Shroff Memorial Open Invitation Snooker Tournament here on Friday.
Vatnani beat Hasan Badami of Mumbai 11-67, 59-26, 95-1, 54-8 in the best-of-five frames contest to finish second in Group 'C' while the group leader and twice Asian champion Yasin Merchant edged out India number two Manan Chandra 51-39, 76-29, 11-73(73), 56(40)-63(63), 60-2 in another Group C match.
Ashok Shandilya of Railways lost to Rupesh Shah of Gujarat who registered his second win in Group 'B' 63-24, 18-77, 38-61, 59-38, 58-66.
Alok Kumar of Punjab also booked his berth in the quarter finals winning against Mumbai's Sarang Shroff with a 79-38, 101-1, 68-28.
