Wushu: Bronze for Bimoljit, Sandhyarani in final

India's Bimoljit Singh settled for the bronze in the men's sanshou 60kg wushu competition while Sandhyarani Devi assured herself of at least a silver medal after she made the final of the women's event at the Asian Games today.

India's Bimoljit Singh settled for the bronze in the men's sanshou 60kg wushu competition while Sandhyarani Devi assured herself of at least a silver medal after she made the final of the women's event at the Asian Games on Tuesday.

Bimoljit lost in the semi-final of the men's event and settled for the bronze medal. Bimoljit lost his semi-final bout 0-2 to Iranian Mohsen Mohammadseifi.

In the women's event, Sandhyarani won 8-1 against Paloy Barckkham of Laos in the semi-final at the Nansha Gymnasium. In Wednesday's final, Sandhyarani will face Iran's Khadijeh Azadpour.
