PHOTOS: Bidding goodbye to Goddess Durga

Every year, Chittaranjan Park in South Delhi hosts 12-13 pandals and over the three days of the puja a footfall of over 50,000 people is seen. This year protecting the environment was on high priority, with all immersions of Goddess Durga idols taking place in artificial ponds. 116 of these had been created by the government and civic authorities. On the other hand, various puja committees had created their own artificial ponds for immersion close to the location of the pandals.
