In Telangana, incessant rainfall caused inundation of low-lying areas, damage to agricultural crops and disruption of the state’s rail and road links with neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.(Reuters)

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), both states are likely to receive more moderate showers today. Earlier, the weather department had warned that a depression over the Vidarbha region had caused heavy rain in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, presenting a flash flood risk as well. (ANI)

The Telangana Special Police (TGSP) personnel conduct rescue operations in the flood-affected areas. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team, along with Central forces and district officials, also provided food, drinking water, and other essential items to the flood-affected areas in Vijayawada through helicopters.(ANI)
