Thirteen military personnel on board the An-32 aircraft that crashed in Arunachal Pradesh on June 3 have died, the Indian Air Force said hours after the first investigation team reached the crash site. Air force and army helicopters had airdropped 15 mountaineers on Wednesday for rescue operations. Eight of them reached the site and transmitted the tragic news. (ANI)

Cyclone Vayu is the second major storm facing India in 2019. While it was expected to make landfall on the western coastline of India around Gujarat on Thursday, reports indicate it has changed trajectory overnight and is now moving northwards. (PTI)

“Two more children died today due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) at the Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, taking the death toll up to 37,” Bihar’s principal secretary, health, Sanjay Kumar has said. Till Monday, 28 children had died of AES at the SKMCH and seven at the Kejriwal Maternity Clinic. So far 143 cases have been reported from 11 districts in the state. (AFP)
