Photos: India records 1 million recoveries from Covid-19

India has managed to treat and discharge more than 1 million people who had taken ill due to the coronavirus disease Covid-19. This silver lining comes against the backdrop of as Covid-19 cases continuing to surge in various parts of India and daily caseloads now crossing the 50,000 mark. India has seen a continued increase in average daily recoveries through the month of July with an average of around 35,000 in the last week. The gap between recovered patients and active Covid-19 cases currently stands at more than 5 lakh as on July 31.
