World No Tobacco Day 2024: Tobacco consumption, in any form, is extremely unhealthy for the body. It can lead to cancer and other diseases. Active smoking can lead to painful death. Passive smoking, also known as secondhand smoking, is equally unhealthy. Passive smoking refers to the practice of being exposed to tobacco smoke due to an active smoker nearby. Every year, World No Tobacco Day is observed to urge people to quit smoking and turn to a healthy lifestyle.
