Altamash’s classy 62-break marks a day of easy wins at the PYC-Green Baize Open Snooker Challenge

Altamash Saifee turned in a brilliant performance recording the highest break of the day, while Amit Parashar and Yogesh Sharma worked themselves hard to advance into the next round of the of the 2nd Rajabhau Shahade Cup PYC-Green Baize Open Snooker Challenge, on Wednesday.

In what was a one sided match, Altamash (Arizona) dominated proceedings to put out Deccan Gymkhana's Sachin Biche 63-27, 65-02, 66 (62)-09. The win was peppered with a composed 62-point break in the third frame.

Amit began with a flourish and saddled himself in the driver's seat by winning the opening two frames 59-21, 54-12. Over the next two games Amit hit a road block with Luv bouncing back (50-59, 59-64). With the game on levels, the decider had Amit make it an easy affair winning 49-09.

Later, Yogesh Sharma (Poona Club) bounced back from a two game deficit against Pinaki Banerjee (Wadgaon) 40-42, 27-73, 65-08, 48-35, 70-19.
