The admissions for first year junior college (FYJC) have reached the second special round with almost 1,807 students getting college allocations, declared the Common Admission Process (CAP) this week. Those students who are still without admissions will be given the needed information on the website, on September 11, the committee said.
Students who have received their allocations in the second round, now will have to physically visit the allotted junior colleges along with their parents or guardians to confirm their online admissions. This visit along with all valid documents is mandatory for all students, the committee confirmed.
Initially, the CAP committee had received as many as 2,451 applications for this special round. Out of them, a total of 1,124 students were alloted colleges as per their first preference.
However, despite this, almost 644 students in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, across all arts courses in Marathi and English were still without college allocations after the round, said the committee.
According to assistant deputy director of education Meenakshi Raut , those students who have received allotments will have to confirm their admissions and the deadline is till 5pm on Monday . "Those students who want to take admission under different quota seats will have to personally go to the colleges that have the vacancy, along with all their documents and seek admissions,” she added.
