Pune builder attacked with sharp weapons over land dispute

Two men were arrested on Thursday evening for attacking a builder and his lawyer employee at their office located on Prabhat road.

The incident happened between 11:40 am and 12:10 pm on Thursday. The victims rushed to the nearest hospital. The police, meanwhile, tracked down the two men and arrested them within hours. (AP)

The two were identified as Ajit Ganpat Gogawale, 45, a resident of Subhash Society in Manjri, Hadapsar; and Amit Arun Valhear, 31, a resident of Ganraj Colony in Kalewadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

The injured builder was identified as Krushna alias Bapu Tukaram Shete, 72, resident of the area where he was attacked, while his employee was identified as Neha Nitin Jadhav, 47, a resident of Vakil Nagar in Erandwane, according to the police.

The attack was the result of a land dispute between Shete and Gogawale over a piece of land in Bhor, according to the police.
