Two men from Uttar Pradesh were booked on Monday for the murder of a man in June. The two were relatives of the deceased man’s wife and were disgruntled after she married the deceased against her relatives’ wishes.
The two booked were identified as Kamlesh Mallu Gaud and Amarnath Dashrath Gaud, both residents of Madanpur in Thana Hadalhat area of Uttar Pradesh. The deceased was identified as Indrajeet Umashankar Gaud, 21, and his wife was identified as Pyari Gaud, both residents of Nimbalkar chawl in Lohegaon area of Pune.
The murder happened between the wee hours of June 19, 2017 and June 20, 2017 according to the police. The man was found dead in their residence near Gajanan marriage hall in Lohegaon. An accidental death report was filed under Section 174 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) at Vimantal police station under the Pune city police jurisdiction.
“The chemical analysis report from Sassoon a few days ago and it confirmed that it is a case of murder. Therefore we took further action,” said police inspector (crime) Ramesh Sathe of Vimantal police station.
“They had a love marriage in 2016 and ran away. The families of the two had eventually started warming up to them before the incident happened,” said police sub inspector DJ Jadhav who is investigating the case and is the complainant in the case.

{{/usCountry}}The victim was taken to Sassoon General Hospital for post-mortem. The post-mortem revealed that he had received a neck injury after being hit by a blunt object before being strangled to death. Assistant police inspector SB Khedkar of Vimantal police station is investigating the case.
