Teacher of Pune school booked for assaulting student

The Yerawada police have booked a school teacher for causing a serious injury on the private part of a six-year-old female student who was a part of her class.

The father of the student registered a complaint at the Yerawada police station. The police did not reveal the identity of the accused on request.

According to the police, the incident took place on March 18 between 12.45 pm and 1.30 pm when the 32-year-old teacher hit her student with a plastic sketch board at the students private part. The student was grievously injured as the act lead to bleeding. However, the teacher was negligent and did not address the issue.

The teacher who is a resident of Jai Jawannagar, Yerawada has been booked under section 338 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
