1 booked for selling Chinese string

A day after HT highlighted the open sale of China-made kite string in local markets, the Batala police on Monday raided many shops. A police team raided at a shop at Dharamkot Bagga village and recovered 17 rolls of Chinese strings. The owner of the shop managed to escape.

A day after HT highlighted the open sale of China-made kite string in local markets, the Batala police on Monday raided many shops. A police team raided at a shop at Dharamkot Bagga village and recovered 17 rolls of Chinese strings. The owner of the shop managed to escape.

A case has been registered against the accused. The district administration had imposed a complete ban on the sale of Chinese string but it is available in Orhi Gate, Qaddi Zatti, Dera road and Umpura Road markets.
