1 held with 450gm smack in Kapurthala

Kapurthala police have arrested a person with 450gms smack at a checkpoint in city, here today, while his accompanist succeeded in fleeing from the spot.

Kapurthala police arrested a person and allegedly seized 450gm smack from him at a checkpoint in the city today, even as his accomplice fled the spot.

SHO Gulshan Kumar said that two persons riding a motorcycle were stopped at a checkpoint on the Mall Road for checking. "On suspicion, we frisked the motorcyclist Bikramjeet Singh of Lakhan Khurd village and seized smack from his possession," he said.

Sonu, the accomplice of Bikramjeet, fled the spot. Police have booked both under the NDPS Act.
