The accused have been identified as Prince Kapoor and Navalpreet Singh, both residents of Shivaji Nagar. According to police, the accused made the hoax call after their relative died at the hospital in a bid to avenge the death.

Brij Mohan, station house officer (SHO), Division Number 3 police station, said after the accused made the call, police acted swiftly and sent a heavy police force, along with quick response team (QRT), dog squad and bomb disposal team, and initiated search operation on the hospital premises. But on finding nothing, realised it was a hoax call.

On late Tuesday night, having traced the mobile number from which the call was made, the police nabbed the duo.

The SHO said several fake SIM cards were been recovered from the accused's possession, adding that the SIM card used to make the hoax call was registered on a fake address.
