2 kidnapped Abohar cousins rescued by police in Rohtak

Two kidnapped cousins and businessmen from Abohar town of Punjab were rescued by the Gurgaon police after an encounter with the kidnappers near Rohtak’s Kharawad village on Tuesday.

Two kidnapped cousins and businessmen from Abohar town of Punjab were rescued by the Gurgaon police after an encounter with the kidnappers near Rohtak’s Kharawad village on Tuesday.

While one of the miscreants, identified as Deepak alias Pandu, was injured in the shootout, two of his accomplices managed to flee.

Deepak was admitted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak, where his condition was said to be stable.

Abohar businessmen Vikas and Aakash Deep were kidnapped from Dwarka Expressway by miscreants on Sunday afternoon while they were returning from Delhi IGI airport in a car after dropping their sister.

In the police complaint, mother of Vikas said she got a call from the miscreants who claimed that her son and nephew had been kidnapped and demanded Rs 50 lakh ransom for their release.

One of the relatives of the two cousins, Sumit, reached Gurgaon and lodged a complaint with the police at Rajendra Park police station.

Sources said police received a tip-off that the miscreants was travelling between Rohtak and Jhajjar on Monday evening.
