2 nursing students killed in Sangrur mishap

They were on their way to the Sangrur civil hospital for their night duty

Two nursing students were killed when a private schoolbus rammed into their Activa at the Barnala-Sangrur over-bridge on Tuesday evening. The victims are Akashdeep Kaur, from Karnal in Haryana and Jyoti, from Bihar. They were on their way to the Sangrur civil hospital for their night duty, from their Paying Guest (PG) accommodation when the accident happened.

The bus was coming from the city side. They were taken to the civil hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead. They had been doing their course at the Government Nursing Training Institute at the civil hospital premises.
