According to information, the accused identified as Ravi Bajaj along with Dinesh Chawla, also of Sonepat, were selling the contraband to the migrant labourers working in the steel town. However, when the police reached the site, Dinesh managed to flee from the site.

SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said that the accused had kept the contraband in a Honda Amaze car ( HR 78 8478) which was parked on the village road. He said the accused were trying to sell the contraband to the migrant labourers engaged in the harvesting of crop and to some workers employed with transporters in the area.

A case under various sections of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.
