The police have booked three people, including a woman, for allegedly kidnapping a 24-year-old divorced woman and raping her for several days.

Two of them have been identified as Naresh Kumar, a resident of Salem Tabri and his aunt Gulabo with the identity of the third suspect, who was reportedly an accomplice in the crime, yet to be ascertained.

In her complaint filed with the Salem Tabri police, the woman, a resident of Bharti Colony, alleged the incident occurred on August 24 when she was walking in the Salem Tabri area.

“All of a sudden the accused arrived on a motorcycle and accosted me, throwing something on my face due as a result of which I became unconscious. Kumar then took me to a house where I was held captive for many days and repeatedly raped. When I resisted I was forcibly taken to Kumar’s home where his aunt beat me up and threatened me to keep quiet”.

The woman claimed the three released her three days later on August 27 following which she came to her home and filed a complaint with the police.

Inspector Maninder Bedi, station house officer (SHO) of the Salem Tabri police station, said the police were continuing their investigations into the matter.
