3 Chennai youth killed in car-bus collision on Jalandhar- Chandigarh highway due to fog

Three Tamil Nadu-based persons died in road mishap in village Bharthala near Kathgarh town of the SBS Nagar district on intervening night of Monday and Tuesday on Jalandhar-Chandigarh highway (NH-344A) , after the car they were travelling collided with a tourist bus coming from Ropar, due to fog.

The deceased have been identified as B Ravichandran, V Ashoka, and P Swami of Chennai in Tamil Nadu. While their friend R Chandran and driver Manoj Kumar of Jalandhar are injured and undergoing treatment at a hospital.

As per police, four youths from Tamil Nadu state were going to Chandigarh after paying obeisance at Golden Temple in Tata Indica (PB08-BN-4314).

While crossing Bharthala village bus stop, a tourist bus (JK02-AW-1827) collided with their car at 1 am, resulting deaths of three youths.

The deceased had a flight from Chandigarh airport to Chennai on Tuesday at 10 am.
